The TransforMotivation System is also useful to structure the assessment of an ongoing transformation. This is quite important to find the white spots which have not been treated properly in the transformation. This avoids re-launching transformation programs which try to fix what is not broken.

See below the TMS, in which the 3 motivation drivers Purpose, Autonomy and Mastery are split into Action, Support and Results. The resulting 9 chapters are detailed out in paragraphs. This structure is also followed in the book. Also see the section 'Articles' on this website for more information on the motivation drivers.

When assessing a transformation (program), it has proven helpful to make use of a simple questionnaire, using the table as illustrated above as a framework. In this way one can do a self-assessment of his or her organisation.

Below you will find an example of such a questionnaire, which I have taken out of the book. Mapping the results of the questionnaire in the same structure, gives you a clear overview of where the white spots are, and where the transformation program needs to be improved.

It can very well be that these questions need a bit more explanation, for which I have to refer to the book. There your will find context and background of the questions, as well as examples of possible answers.
